It is the highest governing body of Casa Mediterráneo, and all the institutions belonging to the Public Consortium. The governing council meets every six months to ensure the good functioning of the institution.

GENERAL DIRECTION
Director General is appointed by the Governing Council, at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, from among people of recognized prestige in the Mediterranean area for a renewable period of three years. Its main task is to direct and supervise all the activities of the Public Consortium.
