Andrés Perelló Rodríguez

Andrés Perelló Rodriguez

Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Valencia, with specializations in Public Law and Criminal Law. He is also a member of the Valencia Bar Association.

He was Mayor of Buñol (Valencia) from 1991 to 1995, Provincial Councillor from 1995 to 1999, Senator from 2007 to 2009, and Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014. He has also been a member of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Iraq and an International Electoral Observer, accredited in numerous African and Latin American countries, serving as Head of the Electoral Observation Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He has likewise served as President of the Interparliamentary Groups for Peace and as the European Parliament’s representative at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15), held in Copenhagen in December 2009.

He has been a full member of ENVI, the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and Vice-President of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (EUROLAT), responsible for relations with civil society: associations and organizations for culture, education, cooperation, and solidarity in Latin America and Europe. He is also a member of several international solidarity and cooperation NGOs and President of the Foundation Europe for Democracy, Culture and Solidarity.

He has participated in numerous national and international courses and conferences, and is the author of various publications, as well as a contributor to different media outlets.

His most recent post was as Permanent Delegate Ambassador of Spain to UNESCO and Vice-President of the World Heritage Committee, from August 2018 to November 2021.

José Manuel Molina García

Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has worked as an audit accountant. He entered the Technical Corps of the Ministry of Finance through a competitive examination, where he has held professional positions in several postings.

In the public sector, he was elected Mayor of Toledo for three terms and chaired the Organization of World Heritage Cities.

In recent years, he has carried out his professional activity in the Foreign Service as Chancellor at the Embassies of Spain in Kinshasa and Dar es Salaam.

In September 2021, he joined the team of Casa Mediterráneo.

Ignacio de Julián Mínguez

Ignacio de Julián Mínguez

Architect. Specialized in Urban Planning and Building Design from UPV, ULPGC, EGEO, and San Marco 3202, Venice. He has developed international projects with IN HOC SIGNO VINCES (Santiago Calatrava) and founded the aeronautical engineering and architecture firm ALBERTA NORWEG. In recent years, he has worked in the Foreign Service as Senior Consultant for the Embassy of Spain to UNESCO in Paris.

He has been part of the Casa Mediterráneo team since 2023.

Francisco Alcaraz Albero

Francisco Alcaraz Albero (Alicante, 1976)

PhD in History from the University of Alicante, postgraduate in United Nations studies (Geneva), and specialist in security, defence, and public diplomacy. He has served as advisor for peace missions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and has worked for several strategic offices as a consultant in international relations and foreign trade. He has also been a university lecturer in mediation and conflict prevention and director of training programmes for the Generalitat Valenciana.

Since March 2014, he has been part of the Casa Mediterráneo team.

María Gómez Ruiz (Alicante, 1984)

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Cardenal Herrera CEU University, she continued her studies in communication with a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Journalism at the Higher School of Image and Sound in Madrid. An expert in social, corporate, national and international protocol, as well as social media and design, she is a Higher Technician in Marketing Management. Her professional career has developed in various media outlets at the national level.

In December 2013, she joined the Casa Mediterráneo team.

Miguel Santatecla Palomeque (Alicante, 1974)

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), Executive Master (Fundesem Business School), and a long-term Master’s degree in Marketing and Business Management (ESUMA). With more than 20 years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors, he served on the executive committee of a company in the services sector. He has advised companies by developing management control models for cross-functional financial, economic, and commercial processes.

In March 2011, he joined the Casa Mediterráneo team.

Javier González Valdunciel

Javier González Valdunciel (Salamanca, 1962)

Senior IT technician and specialist in management programming. Throughout his professional career, he has worked in different sectors and countries, mainly in the development of bespoke management software for private companies. He has also worked as a programming languages instructor and has delivered office software training courses for both public and private institutions.

Since September 2009, he has been working at Casa Mediterráneo.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and a degree in English Studies, with a specialization in international news, online communication, and social media.

She has developed her professional career in digital media and in institutional communication, both in private entities and non-profit organizations.

Paqui Santonja Mayor

Paqui Santoja Mayor

Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, specializing in International Relations. She began her career in the Spanish public administration at the Barcelona Provincial Council (2000–2009), where she was responsible for Euro-Mediterranean cooperation within the International Relations Department.

In the General State Administration in Madrid, after working in the Office of the Secretary of State for the European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the preparation and implementation of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU (2009–2010), she held several positions at the Ministry of Territorial Policy: advisor to the Directorate-General for Autonomous and Local Cooperation (2010–2015) and advisor to the Office of the Minister for Territorial Policy and Civil Service (2018–2021).

From February 2015 to August 2018, she was project manager in the Public Governance Studies Unit at the OECD Public Governance Directorate in Paris. From October 2021 to April 2022, she served as advisor in the Office of the Minister of Finance and Civil Service of the Government of Spain, until joining Casa Mediterráneo in Alicante in April 2022.

She has worked as a consultant in public procurement for local government, as well as secretary to senior officials and coordinator of cultural activities at the Embassy of Spain in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of the Congo).

Ángela Peñalver Ripoll (Elche, 1996)

Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master’s degree in Institutional Translation from the University of Alicante. Her professional career has developed in the field of event and conference organization in both the public and private sectors. She is an expert in the management of technical secretariats at both national and international levels.
